Best Tourist sim in Turkey | Turkish Tourist Sims

Best Tourist sim in Turkey | Turkish Tourist Sims

There are three main telecommunications companies in Türkiye. Turkcell, TurkTelecom and Vodafone. Two other telecommunications networks also exist which are using Turkcell and TurkTelecom services. All these networks offer tourist sims which come with 1-3 months data and mobile minutes which can be used for calling purposes within Turkey. All sims cost the same for the packages and physical sim, so that's why you need the best network and that offers best coverage. When you are in the airport, you get free one hour internet by swiping your passport in the free wifi machines. You get access to the internet for a whole hour from TurkTelecom which is quite a good marketing strategy by TurkTelecom to create relationships with customers and most visitors when they come out from the airport, they choose TurkTelecom over Vodafone or Turkcell. This is the main mistake most by many visitors when they didn't search online before coming to Turkey. TurkTelecom is the worst network when it comes to coverage.

Turn on International rooming on your local sim is the most economical choice for most travelers from Europe, UK and United States of America as internet is quite cheaper in Turkey, so when partnering with local companies in the turkey for roaming, these Western telecommunications are able to provide best, instant and cheap coverages to their customers but many Asians countries and other populated countries where internet is quite cheaper than Turkey, turing on International rooming and use it for internet or other purposes make expensive for travelers from these countries. Buying and using Turkish local sims will be the best option for those. Buying Turkish sim gives you another age, that you will be able to call Turkish locals numbers as every package comes with Mobile Data alongside SMS and free minutes.

Best Turkish Tourist sim:

As in the beginning, I explained why you should not buy TurkTelecom and the reason I mentioned was poor coverage but if you want to stay in Turkey for more than 3 months then the most economical in afterwards packages are definitely TurkTelecom but you will definitely not stratify with it's coverage. Let's start from the bottom and let me explain which is the best Turkish Tourist sim by telling you all the pros and cons of it.

3. TurkTelecom

So basically, their are only three major telecommunications networks in Turkey with two other local networks that used the TurkTelecom & Turkcell services with a different brand name. So, TurkTelecom stands 3 I mean at the bottom when it comes to coverage. Poor coverage in most places.

2. Vodafone

Vodafone Türkiye
Vodafone Türkiye

Vodafone is Turkey is second best telecommunications network by way better coverage than TurkTelecom and it must be a better coverage because Vodafone is a global icon in Telecommunications fields but is a bit expensive than TurkTelecom but the sim price which includes welcome package for foreigners are same as TurkTelecom. But later on, when you charge or activate packages you will it expensive than TurkTelecom but there is a huge difference in coverage between TurkTelecom and Vodafone, but surprisingly I didn't Vodafone shop at Istanbul Airport.

1. Turkcell - Number Turkish Sim by Coverage

When it comes the best coverage, TurkCell is currently unbeatable. You will get good coverage everywhere in Istanbul and Turkey. Good coverage and speed also makes it the most expensive network among all.

Alternative cheap options:

If you want to stay for longer period in Turkey and want to go for more cheap services then there are BIMCELL and PTTcell.

Conclusions:

So, that's are the best by Coverage Turkish sims that can you buy in Turkey.  Buy any sim that best suit your needs. I will definitely suggest you to buy Vodafone as it is the middle between TurkTelecom and Turkcell. If you want to stay longer in the turkey and want to apply for Turkish resident card a.k.a kimlik then, I will recommend you to buy Turkcell, because you can convert Turkcell from tourist sim to a proper sim later on.
